Roche Automation Receives $6.7 Million Order from Daewoo Shipbuilding

On September 5, South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering provided more than $6.7 million in contract orders to Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK). Rockwell Automation will deliver a fully integrated security solution to Transocean.
Transocean is a leading international provider of offshore drilling contracting services to energy companies and an important customer of Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering. Rockwell Automation will leverage its large project delivery management expertise to integrate AADvanceTM process safety systems into the company's PlantPAxTM integrated control, power and safety solutions.
The contractual order included the delivery of four drilling vessels to Transocean with the option to build an additional six vessels. In 2011, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Corporation placed a $6 million order for Rockwell Automation for the creation of four new offshore drilling vessels.
According to Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Rockwell Automation provides Daewoo Shipbuilding with a complete offshore solution and a robust system that enhances system availability and enhances safety systems for offshore applications such as drilling vessels and drilling platforms. .
Delivery time is scheduled for the beginning of 2014. All important solutions for the first vessel will be completed by June 2014, and all important solutions for the remaining three will be completed by October 2015.
