ABB Automation System Package Receives TUI Cruise Order

It is reported that ABB has recently received orders from STX Finland to provide a complete automation system package and energy management system for a STZ Finland Oy building 99300GT cruise ship. The shipowner is a joint venture company of German travel company TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line TUI. Cruises.
It is reported that the captain is about 295 meters long and has a width of 35 meters. It can provide accommodation for 2,500 passengers and 1,000 crew members. It is expected to be delivered in the spring of 2014.
The system equipment delivered by ABB will help the vessel optimize fuel and power consumption and provide operational information for all systems on board, optimizing performance, improving efficiency and comfort. Rami Jokela, head of ship information and control systems at ABB's merchant and crane business, said, "Getting this order is an important milestone for ABB's ship automation business, which demonstrates that software and digital information are important aspects of energy efficiency solutions, which strengthens ABB's power Leading position in integration with automation systems."
ABB's supply includes integrated ship management systems (VMS), power management and HVAC control systems, energy cut-off systems (ESD), and energy management systems. The entire system includes approximately 13'000 I/O points and uses ABB's 800xA automation platform.
ABB will also provide a complete power and propulsion system, which is scheduled to begin delivery in the second half of 2013.
