According to the data reported by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on the production enterprises of commercial vehicles (passenger parts), in August, the performance of the passenger car market was significantly better than that of the previous month, showing a certain growth year-on-month and year-on-year. In August, buses sold 43,000 vehicles, an increase of 8.43% compared with the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 6.08%. The sales rate was 102.35%, which was higher than that of last month. Among the main varieties of passenger cars, compared with the previous month, the growth rate of large and medium-sized passenger cars was faster, while the growth rate of light passenger cars was slightly lower. Compared with the same period of last year, the three major categories of products maintained a steady growth. In August, the sales of large passenger cars totaled 0.89 million, an increase of 17.58% compared with the previous period, a year-on-year increase of 6.65%, and the sales ratio was 111.46%. The sales of medium-sized passenger cars were 0.86 million, an increase of 16.88%, and an increase of 2.26% year-on-year. According to the analysis of SAIC's regional sales flow of passenger car products, from January to August, compared with the same period of last year, the demand in Central and South China still showed a definite decline, and the other five regions maintained stable growth, among which the growth rate in Northwest China was among the highest.

According to the statistical analysis of SAIC's sales of main passenger vehicles, in August, the top ten companies in sales were: Brilliance Jinbei, Yutong, Jiangling, Xiamen Golden Brigade, Nanjing Iveco, Jinlong United, Suzhou Golden Dragon, Beiqi Foton, Shaolin and Zhongtong sold 7,877 vehicles, 5,490 vehicles, 4,255 vehicles, 2,790 vehicles, 2,617 vehicles, 2,562 vehicles, 2,538 vehicles, 1,863 vehicles, 1,261 vehicles and 1,018 vehicles respectively.
Compared with the previous month, Jinbei, Jiangling and Nanjing Iveco declined, while other companies showed different degrees of growth, among which the growth rates of Suzhou Jinlong and Zhongtong were even more pronounced. In August, the above-mentioned ten companies sold a total of 32,300 vehicles, accounting for 75.12% of the total sales of buses.
From January to August, sales of the top ten companies were: Brilliance Jinbei, Jiangling, Yutong, Nanjing Iveco, Jinlong United, Beiqi Futian, Suzhou Jinlong, Xiamen Golden Brigade, Shaolin and Zhongtong, with sales of 61,800 units and 3.46 respectively. 10,000 vehicles, 31,900 vehicles, 27,300 vehicles, 18,600 vehicles, 15,800 vehicles, 15,700 vehicles, 14,200 vehicles, 0.83 million vehicles, and 0.78 million vehicles. Compared with the same period of last year, JMC, Nanjing Iveco, Beiqi Foton and Xiamen Golden Brigade saw a slight decrease in sales, and other companies’ growth exceeded that of the entire industry, and the performance was still outstanding.
