The Russian scientific research team successfully synthesized the No. 117 element again, clearing the way for the element 117 to officially join the periodic table.

The Dubuna United Nuclear Research Institute, headquartered in the Russian capital of Moscow, successfully synthesized element 117 for the first time in 2010. However, the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) requested the Dubna Joint Nuclear Institute to re-synthesis this element before they can formally approve it for inclusion in the periodic table.

A senior person in charge of the Dubna Joint Nuclear Research Institute said that the research team has successfully completed the verification work and formally submitted the IUPAC registration application for element 117; if successful, element 117 will be named within one year. And fall into the periodic table of elements.

It is reported that the Dubuna Joint Nuclear Research Institute uses a particle cyclotron to bombard 241 atoms containing 97 protons and 152 neutrons with 48 atoms of calcium consisting of 20 protons and 28 neutrons, resulting in 6 possessors. New atoms of 117 protons, of which 5 atoms have 176 neutrons and another atom has 177 neutrons.

The Mendeleev Periodic Table of Elements, which was introduced in 1869, is one of the basic laws of the universe and also provides a precise scale for humans to recognize nature. Among them, the elements behind element 92, uranium, do not exist in nature and must be obtained through artificial synthesis. The Dubuna Joint Nuclear Research Institute has also succeeded in synthesizing Elements 113, 115, and 118. In addition, the Helmholtz National Research Center Federation in Germany is working on the synthesis of Elements 119 and 120.
