According to the reporter's understanding, driven by the domestic demand for environmental protection, China's environmental protection equipment industry has made significant progress. During the “10th Five-Year Plan” period, the industrial output value of the whole industry increased by more than 15% year-on-year, and some key enterprises were as high as 37%. Among them, the output of water pollution control equipment in 2006 increased by 6 times compared with 2005; the output of solid waste treatment equipment increased by 31.18%; the output of environmental monitoring equipment also rose significantly in 2006. Although the export of environmental protection equipment maintained a relatively rapid growth rate, the amount of imports was still greater than the value of exports, and the trade deficit of this kind of products only reached 158 million U.S. dollars in the first five months of 2006.
However, due to the low quality of domestic environmental protection equipment and instrumentation, the energy conservation and emission reduction in China's chemical industry is constrained to some extent. For example, the on-line pollution monitoring instruments and instruments developed in China have not yet fully passed, and the imported monitoring instruments and meters are too expensive. Therefore, in addition to the key necessary areas, many large chemical companies have to adopt manual sampling and analysis, which affects the development of environmental protection technologies and the improvement of governance.
Therefore, at the meeting, the participating experts made it clear that with the implementation of total pollutant discharge control, tightened pollutant discharge standards, and the implementation of clean production, the performance and technology of chemical environmental protection equipment needs to be further optimized to improve product quality. Grade. Quality defects, incompatibility of material properties and quality, and poor applicability of a few products are important factors affecting the quality of chemical environmental protection equipment and must be improved. At the same time, improving the proportion of high-tech products and the complete set of major technical equipment, promoting key technological innovations, developing technical equipment that is lacking in certain fields, and high-efficiency and low-cost environmental protection mechanical products are important contents for improving product variety satisfaction at present and in the future. The quality of some key environmental projects is poor, and even after they are completed, they cannot be operated. The reasons for the problems involve engineering design, complete sets of capabilities, product quality and project management. At the same time, the relevant person emphasized that the introduction of used equipment should be treated with caution because, at the same time as the purchase of old equipment, it often introduces backwardness or pollution into the country and poses hidden problems for future environmental governance.
It is understood that the current market demand for chemical environmental protection equipment is: sewage treatment equipment, recycled water (reclaimed water) reuse equipment, coal-fired flue gas desulfurization and denitrification equipment, hazardous waste (including medical waste) processing equipment. In addition, many areas of clean production will be new development space for environmental protection equipment. Experts predict that due to the current oversupply of environmental primary products, low-grade products, and general-purpose technologies, adjusting the technical structure and product structure and developing high-tech products has become a major measure for most environmental protection equipment companies, especially key enterprises, to seek self-development. Key enterprises will develop in the direction of comprehensiveness and product diversification; SMEs hope to strengthen cooperation (including cooperation between Chinese and foreign companies), develop new products and technologies, and jointly explore new markets to make up for their weaknesses in products and technologies.
