The top ten automobile manufacturers in sales in July were SAIC, Dongfeng, FAW, Chang'an, BAIC, GAC, Chery, Brilliance, JAC and Great Wall. Compared with the previous month, the fastest growth rate of Guangzhou Automobile, Chery and Jianghuai increased slightly, other companies have declined. Dong Yang said that China’s auto imports have increased in recent years, and its own brand competitiveness is far inferior to that of foreign brands. In terms of analogy, self-owned brands are equivalent to juveniles, foreign brands are equivalent to middle age, and self-owned brands are generally more difficult. At present, they need government care and support, but juveniles will eventually grow and believe that self-owned brands will grow. FAW, Dongfeng and SAIC are still the strongest Chinese auto companies, and other companies are far behind.

At the same time, Dong Yang stated that it is unreasonable for Guiyang's automobile purchase restriction policy. He believes that Guiyang does not have the conditions to purchase from Beijing, first of all, Beijing has far more vehicle ownership than Guiyang, and secondly, Beijing’s road congestion and restrictive purchase policies are temporary measures taken to alleviate traffic congestion in the short term.
