Rolls-Royce is awarded the power and propulsion system support contract for the newest luxury ferry in New York

Recently, Rolls-Royce has received the power and propulsion system support contract for the newest luxury ferry in New York, providing four MTU 12V 4000 M64 high-speed diesel engines. The catamaran ferry is operated by Seastreak, New Jersey, passing through Monmouth, New Jersey and Wall Street. It takes only 40 minutes and can carry up to 600 passengers with a maximum speed of 35 knots.

Rolls-Royce will supply four new MTU 12V 4000 M64 high-speed diesel engines for the new ferry, fully meeting EPA Tier III standards and minimizing exhaust emissions. Four main engines drive four Rolls-all Kamewa 63S4 waterjets for total reliability and redundancy.
In addition, the company's three Seathreak-class ferries (Highlands, New York and New Jersey) will also use Rolls-Royce equipment and technology for power system upgrades in subsequent years. Together with the construction of the new ship, the shipowner will invest a total of 24 million US dollars.
The new ferry is equipped with a luxury seat kit, huge panoramic portholes, beautiful interior design, full LED lighting, full-screen visible flat-screen TV, multi-function charging station, Wi-Fi, high-tech HVAC system and more. There are also 520 in-cabin seats and 206 outdoor seats on the second and third decks.
As a flagship ship, the ferry was designed by Incat-Crowther of Sydney, Australia, and built at the Gulf Craft shipyard in Los Angeles, scheduled to be completed in 2017. After being put into operation, the ship will meet the USCG Class K high-speed ferry standard, making it the most advanced passenger ferry in the United States.
It is reported that the three upgraded ferries will use the MTU 16V 4000 M64 mainframe that meets the Tier 3 standard, with the Rollo waterjet. This configuration not only has a high degree of cleanliness and environmental protection, but also reduces the weight of the whole ship by 20 tons, greatly improving the speed and efficiency of the ship's operation. The upgrade will also include new custom passenger seats, portholes, carpets and other mechanical upgrades.
This winter, the Seastreak New York will be first remodeled and is expected to be rebuilt each winter.

Polyester Geogrid ( FG) Stitched With Nonwoven Geotextile Impregnated by Bitumen: Ultimate tensile Strengths from 25kN/m to 1200kN/m . Biaxial, flexible high modulus Polyester Geogrid stitched with nonwoven geotextile together impregnated with bitumen using the knitting process.

1. It reinforce old asphalt concrete road surface and asphalt layer, and prevents damage ;

2. It is used for rebuilding cement concrete road surface into composite road surface and restraining reflection caused by block contraction .

3. It is used in road expansion and improvment project and crack caused by old and new combination position and uneven sedimentation ;

4. It is used in soft soil base reinforcement treatment , is favorable for soft soil water separation and concretion,restrains sedimentation effectivly,distributes stress uniformly and improve overall strength of road base;

5. It is sued for preventing contraction crack caused by new road semi-rigid base layer,and reinforces and prevents road surface crack caused by foundation crack reflection.
