Passengers with utility knife blocked by subway

At about 18:50 on the night of July 24, a male passenger entered the station at the Youth Road Station of Subway Line 6 and went on a security check. Because there were suspected articles of utility knives in the bag, they were informed by security personnel that they could not be brought into the subway. The man then marched on a strong stop, and another passenger who was with him drove two subway workers to the ground, causing two staff members to be wounded. At present, the two men involved have been controlled by civilian police.

At about 18:50 on Friday night, a male passenger took a car with a hammer in the West Hall of the Metro Line 6, Youth Road. During the security check, the subway staff found something in the bag suspected of being a utility knife. . According to the “Catalogue of the Prohibited Containment of Prohibited Rail Transit in Beijing”, all types of single-edged, double-edged and multi-edged tools with blade angles of less than 60 degrees and blade lengths exceeding 220 millimeters, as well as ceramic tools, are also contraband. Such items cannot be brought into the subway.

The subway staff then stopped the man and refused to allow him to enter the station. He pointed to the "Beijing Rail Transit Prohibited Containment Catalogue" to brief him on the situation. However, this man did not listen to the staff's dissuasion. He still had to make a strong stop. Seeing that the passengers did not listen to the dissuasion, other subway staff also rushed over to discourage the passengers. However, this passenger and the people with him still did not listen to the advice and insisted on entering the station. The subway staff said that the two passengers were emotionally moved at the time.

Although the staff has been discouraging passengers, it has never worked. One passenger forced the station, and the other passenger would dissuade him from directly knocking over. The head of the security inspector collided with the iron bar next to him and fainted on the spot. Afterwards, the passenger tipped another staff member who had dissuaded him from going to the elevator. The subway staff directly hit the pillar and caused a waist injury. According to the Metro, in the process, there is no problem with the attitude of the subway staff.

The beating passenger then fled the scene, and the on-duty stationmaster of the subway station then chased the platform and stopped the beating passengers who had already boarded. During this process, two security inspectors were again injured by the passenger.

Afterwards, the police arrived at the scene and took control of the passengers involved and took them away. The subway staff dialed 120 and sent the injured subway staff to the hospital for treatment. According to the hospital's diagnosis, one staff member suffered head and neck soft tissue injuries, and another staff member suffered injuries to the waist and soft tissues. At present, the police are conducting further investigations on the matter.

The reporter of Beiqing Daily found out that there have been many incidents of conflict between passengers and security inspectors. In 2014, a total of 62 people were rejected because they refused to undergo security screening on the subway. Among them, there are 1 person in criminal detention and 40 in administrative detention. In December last year, at the security checkpoint of the Olympic Park Station on the 8th line of Metro Line 8, a woman refused security screening and tried to force a check. She was stopped by a male security inspector. The woman said that she just wanted to go to port C via port D. She did not plan to enter the station to take the subway, so she did not want to be screened. After mutual disputes, the two sides met each other.

According to the Regulations for Operational Safety of Rail Transit in Beijing, which was implemented on May 1 this year, commuters entering rail transit stations should accept and cooperate with security inspections. If security inspections are not accepted, safety inspectors shall refuse to enter the station to ride in vehicles; if they refuse to accept safety inspections and forcibly enter the station or disturb the order of the security inspection site, the safety inspectors shall stop and report to the public security organ according to law.

Withdrawal sleeves can be used to mount bearings with a tapered bore onto the cylindrical seat of stepped shafts. The sleeve is pressed into the bore of the bearing inner ring, which abuts a shaft shoulder or similar fixed component. The sleeve is located on the shaft by a nut or an end plate. KM or HM lock nuts with appropriate locking devices are suitable.

Recommends using a hydraulic nut to press the withdrawal sleeve into the bearing bore, as a considerable amount of force is required to overcome the friction between the bearing, sleeve and shaft.
