The high-powered technology center that will be put into use is Cummins' only high-powered engine R&D center in China. It is equipped with an advanced electric dynamometer system with a power of up to 3,500 kW. It can undertake performance test and emission test of 14L to 72L displacement engine. And reliability testing tasks, with the development and testing capabilities of Cummins' most advanced high-powered diesel and gas engines.

During the test, the electric energy generated by the dynamometer will be recycled, which can meet the power demand of all facilities and equipment of the technical center and some equipment of the factory. The technical center test equipment uses the Austrian AVL company's engine test professional equipment, with high precision and accuracy, good repeatability and reproducibility.

After the completion of the technical center, the emission test capability can meet the test requirements of the US Tier 4 Final, European non-road Stage IV, China non-road four-stage and higher emission regulations. Exhaust gas generated during engine testing is processed by independent exhaust aftertreatment equipment to meet the latest environmental regulations of the country and localities.

The engine assembly area is equipped with an advanced turning table and a multi-function tightening machine, which can complete the disassembly and assembly of different models according to the research and development needs. The material laboratory of the technical center is equipped with advanced scanning electron microscope, high-end microscope, automatic sample preparation equipment, high-precision hardness tester, tensile testing machine, steel/aluminum alloy and other chemical element analysis instruments, fuel gas detection equipment, and oil particle on-line detection. Equipment, etc.

The R&D and test management of the Technology Center are all based on Cummins standards to achieve Cummins' globally consistent R&D and test quality levels, providing Cummins' high-standard R&D and testing services to users in China and around the world.
