The new cooperation agreement includes:

China FAW and Volkswagen Group (China) established two new joint ventures to cooperate in the field of charging infrastructure and intelligent network;

Guoqi Zhilian and Volkswagen Group (China) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to deepen cooperation in the field of intelligent network;

As a member of the board of directors, BMW joined Baidu's Apollo open platform;

Audi and Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation of intelligent networked vehicles;

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and the German Automobile Industry Association (VDA) jointly signed the Memorandum on Cooperation in the Field of Intelligent Networked Vehicles;

The National Auto Standardization Technical Committee, the Intelligent Network Linked Vehicle Subcommittee and the German Automobile Standards Committee signed a memorandum of understanding to determine the establishment of the Sino-German Intelligent Networking Automotive Standards and Regulations Working Group.

FAW and Volkswagen cooperate with charging and intelligent network

China FAW and Volkswagen Group (China) signed a memorandum of understanding in Berlin, and Xu Liuping, chairman of FAW, attended the signing ceremony.

The two companies will establish two new joint ventures and will provide solutions for home charging, public and semi-public charging, charging data services and battery recycling management around charging infrastructure and charging related services. At the same time, the two sides will also provide innovative intelligent network services and first-class digital customer experience services to provide users with comprehensive intelligent travel solutions. The memorandum signed this time has pointed out the direction for the development of FAW-Volkswagen in the fields of electric travel and intelligent network.

Guoqi Zhilian Hand in Hand

During Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to Germany, Zhang Jinhua, Chairman of Guoqi (Beijing) Intelligent Network Automotive Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Volkswagen Group (China) President and CEO Heizman signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement.

The two sides will conduct in-depth cooperation on technology development planning, technological innovation, standards and regulations, testing and demonstration, personnel training and international exchanges in the field of intelligent networked vehicles. "The establishment of a strategic partnership with Guoqi Zhilian is an important part of the Volkswagen Group's overall strategy in China," Heizman said.

BMW joins Baidu Apollo platform

At the China-Germany self-driving car show event, Baidu and BMW Group announced that they have signed a memorandum of understanding, and BMW will join the Apollo open platform as a member of the board of directors. This marks that BMW and Baidu will open a new partnership in the field of automatic driving. It is also the second time after the cooperation between the two parties in the field of networked vehicles.

Baidu Apollo is an open platform. Since its announcement in July 2017, it has joined 118 global partners from the automotive and technology sectors. BMW is currently developing an autonomous driving platform that can implement L3 to L4 or even L5 autopilot technology (ie, highly automated to fully automated) while providing technical solutions for advanced driver assistance systems at level 2. In May of this year, BMW became the first international vehicle manufacturer to obtain an autopilot road test license in China.

Audi and Huawei deepen intelligent network cooperation

Audi and China Information and Communication Corporation Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation. According to the cooperation plan, the two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of intelligent networked vehicles, jointly promote the development of autonomous driving and digital services, and carry out the LTE-V vehicle networking communication standard pilot project in Wuxi. In addition, Audi and Huawei will jointly develop talents.

This is not the first time Audi and Huawei have "hand in hand." Last year, Audi portable hand Huawei and the relevant institutions in China jointly conducted the public road test of the LTE-V car networking project in Wuxi.

Sino-German Automobile Industry Association join hands to promote the development of intelligent network

On the morning of July 10, under the witness of Premier Li Keqiang and Merkel, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the German Automobile Industry Association signed the Memorandum on Cooperation in the Field of Intelligent Networked Vehicles.

The two sides will set up a special working group to promote the implementation of the memorandum on cooperation matters and carry out a series of activities, including: promoting the exchanges between the two countries' automotive industry in the field of intelligent networking, promoting the coordinated development of the standards and regulations of the two countries, and improving the intelligent network of automobile ecology. System construction, cooperation in the construction of a large database of intelligent driving scenarios, co-sponsoring the bilateral cooperation meeting of the intelligent networked automobile industry, building a platform for the cooperation between the automobile industry of the two countries in the field of intelligent networked vehicles, and jointly promoting the development of the intelligent network of the two countries .

Established Sino-German Intelligent Networking Automotive Standards and Regulations Working Group

On July 10, witnessed by the leaders of the two countries, the National Auto Standardization Technical Committee Intelligent Network Linked Vehicle Subcommittee and the German Automobile Standards Committee signed a memorandum of understanding to determine the establishment of the Sino-German Intelligent Networking Automotive Standards and Regulations Working Group.

The two sides will regularly carry out relevant exchanges on the standardization work of intelligent networked vehicles, jointly carry out research and formulation of intelligent network association vehicle standards and regulations, and strengthen the exchange, cooperation and coordination of international standards and regulations for intelligent networked vehicles.

In fact, the high-level government of China and Germany has proposed in the "Joint Intention Statement on Automated Networking Driving Cooperation" issued on July 9th to promote the formulation and application of international unified standards and promote the unification of relevant technical requirements. The signing of the bid committee of the two countries is a further refinement of the joint intention statement.

Network Alliance accounts for 2/3 cooperation agreement

Up to now, according to the statistics of China Auto News, China and Germany have signed 14 contracts in the automotive field, five of which are about electric vehicles and batteries, and the other nine are intelligent network and automatic driving. The importance and heat of both can be seen.

On July 10, Premier Li Keqiang attended the China-Germany self-driving car show in Berlin together with Merkel. The two prime ministers first came to the static display area to visit three self-driving cars jointly developed by six Chinese and German companies and research institutes. In the dynamic display area, Li Keqiang and Merkel boarded a self-driving car developed by Sino-German cooperation and experienced a smooth journey in the fully automatic driving state. After that, Li Keqiang sent an invitation to Merkel: "I will invite you to China to experience autonomous driving cars next time!" Premier Li Keqiang pointed out that the finale of the visit to Germany is the cooperation agreement between China and Germany to sign the field of automatic driving. In the traditional automotive sector, China will continue to increase its market access and shareholding ratio for German cars. On the other hand, new technologies are booming, especially autonomous driving will become the cutting-edge technology in the future automotive field.
